Superhero: The contest is over... it's time for some FEEDBACK!

well, i suppose it was inevitable, even predictable, true believers. the battle royale is finished and the last superhero standing is Feedback. while i wasn't personally rooting for the guy, it's obvious why he won: he wanted it the most.

having been a comicbook fan myself since a young age it was easy to tell that this guy was a kindred spirit. everyone on the show had good reasons for wanting to be a superhero, but Feedback was the only one who wanted to be a superhero for the sake of being a superhero. it was the only thing he'd ever wanted to be. that might seem silly to most people, and maybe it is, but we all have our dreams, and they aren't silly to us.

dreams are what make life worth living, make it interesting, and fuel our passions. life without a dream is just survival. in the words of a Bruce Springsteen song "is a dream a lie if it don't come true, or is it something worse?" well, here's a guy who made his dream a reality, and no matter if you think his dream was silly or not, it's something worth striving for.

so congrats to Matthew... oops, i mean Feedback for going the distance, and fullfilling his dream. tomorrow i'll be calling the local comicbook shop to reserve my copy of his Darkhorse comic, and start watching for previews on the Scifi channel for his upcoming saturday night original movie. as Feedback said "anything you dream is possible!". so maybe i do have a shot at fullfilling my dream of... hell, right now it's just making enough money to get out of debt and live comfortablly for the rest of my life. if i can make that a reality, then i can dream. still, it's better than no dream at all.
