Kitten Update
well, it's been a few months since we posted any pictures of our kittens, but we finally got the film developed. since that time they've grown quite a bit and Lil' Bit (aka Stubby Kaye) moved to Dallas, Tx to live with our daughter Jenny. She's now happily sharing their home and making a new friend: a dog named Chaka. they're about the same age but Chaka is about 4 times her size. still this doesn't seem to be a problem.
as for the rest of our brood.. remember the picture of the 5 little kittens on our porch? sadly 2 didn't survive, but the 3 remaining are doing fine and healthy. at 8 months old they're big piles of furry playful fun. starting with...
Pretty (on the left) and Spooky (on the right) are the two friendlier of the trio, they tend to stay right under our feet (especially at dinner time) which makes crossing the yard treacherous for the humans.
the third member of this litter is Einstein, who's still a little stand offish but coming around. he's finally letting us pet him, particularly when he's distracted by his hunger.
These three's mother, Smokey, has recently had another litter of 3 about 5 weeks ago. pictures coming soon when we're able to lure them out from under the house long enough to take them.
Next we have the Three Amigos, our 3 indoor cats Dusty, Curiosity and Magic. Dusty, the more rambunctious of the three we've nicknamed "Troublemaker" as he tends to do just that: cause trouble, whereas his brother Curiosity is more reserved. they recently celebrated their first birthday on February 19th.
Last but certainly not least is Magic, Lil'Bit's brother. at 9 months he's already bigger than the other two and hasn't finished growing. he has an abundance of personality, loves to play, doesn't like to be held (unless it's his idea), but loves to be close.
finally Stormy (Magic's mother) just had a litter of 4 (her second litter) four days ago, and she and babies are happily hiding under the bed in the spare bedroom. pictures of them to follow also when they emerge to greet the world.
